Elevate’s eye is good
I was totally impressed. Checked to be sure it was correct. I mean it exceeded expectations.
Elevate Chruch has adopted an area family this holiday season. So we took up an offering on Sunday specifically for a Thanksgiving basket for our adopted family. We set an amount that Read more

Believe in & Suffer for Him?
One of the community groups at Elevate is Chase the Lion and this week’s reading includes Philippians 1.29: For it has been given to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in Him but also suffer for Him.
In my spiritual heritage, let’s just say the end part of this Scripture wouldn’t get much run, however, the “believe in Him” part was a favorite. I found myself woefully equipped to suffer well for Him (in fact I Read more

Russia finale postponed
The past week has been crazy busy and so I haven’t had the chance to write the final segment of the series about my time in Russia - so I’ll have it ready for next Wednesday. Great to build suspense anyway, right?

Homeless Awareness Week in Monroe
This week in Monroe there are some events designed around bringing to light the issues of homelessness & poverty in our area & state. I’ll be attending some of the events this week and Elevate is helping get the word out about them too. Check out our website and look in the upper right hand corner - roll your cursor over the tab there and watch what happens. Then say a prayer for those living without a home this winter. If you live in Monroe consider attending one of the benefits or awareness events. Peace.

It is interesting to note that the sender is a Christian non-American living in a nation that has seen loads of government corruption and very turbulent times in the socio-political sphere. Here’s the 10 predictions: Read more

Russia 3
Last Wednesday I talked about all that happened in the political and socio-economic realms in Russia during my time there and how God led me to read a certain Scripture regarding those things before I even finalized my decision to go to Russia. Here’s that verse again from Habakkuk 1.5: Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.
